I'm Running for Circuit Court to Make a Real Difference in the Safety of Our Community

Why We Need Ben Burnett for Circuit Judge

Our communities in the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit—in Baxter, Marion, Boone, and Newton Counties—are facing real challenges. From an overloaded court system to the heartbreaking toll of drug addiction, the need for strong, principled judicial leadership has never been greater.

This division of Circuit Court carries the heaviest caseload hearing criminal matters, divorce cases, and other matters. It is very busy, as are all other judges in the entire 14th Judicial District. For this division, there are over 1,600 cases currently assigned— according to the a recent Administrative Plan submitted to the Arkansas Supreme Court.

These cases are important to our community, and values of hard work and integrity will be essential for this position on day one.

That’s why this job isn’t for someone looking for a title. It’s for someone who’s tough, wise, experienced, and ready to work.

Ben Burnett is that kind of leader.

He has over a decade of legal experience—as a public defender, child advocate, and now as the owner of a successful law practice. He’s spent his career fighting for those who need a strong voice in court, while never losing sight of accountability and public safety.

Ben understands that justice isn’t just about the law—it’s about people. Every victim. Every family. Every person who walks into court hoping to be treated fairly.

And let’s speak plainly: our area is in the middle of a drug crisis. For years, Baxter County had one of the highest overdose death rates in the state. Families have been torn apart. Children have suffered. Our law enforcement officers are doing all they can—like through the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, where the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office works with other agencies to tackle the problem. But we also need judges who understand the depth of this crisis and who will do their part to hold offenders accountable and support effective solutions.
